The Propaganda Inquiry

Interview with Professor Jacob Groshek

Today I had the honor of interviewing Kansas State professor Jacob Groshek to explore how digital media shapes what people believe and how they participate politically. We discussed how misinformation spreads online, the gap between popular assumptions about polarization and what the research actually shows, and how algorithmic systems influence the information people encounter every day. It was a conversation about the structures underlying our information environment and what they mean for democracy.
